What we do with what you send us
This notice covers the Chain Fraud Watch website and the case intake form on it. It does not cover a case engagement, which is governed by the written scope agreed before work starts.

What the form collects
Your name, your email address, the address or platform involved, an optional transaction reference, the case type, and whatever you write in the description. Nothing else is requested and nothing is inferred.

What it is used for
Assessing whether we can help and replying to you. It is not used for marketing, not sold, and not shared with anyone who is not working on your case.

Where it goes
The form emails your report to our case inbox. This website stores nothing: it is a set of static files with no database and no server-side session. Delivery is handled by Cloudflare as our email provider.

How long we keep it
If we do not take the case, we delete the report and the correspondence once the enquiry is closed. If we do take it, case material is kept for as long as the matter requires and any period our professional obligations impose, then deleted.

Who else sees it
Nobody, unless acting on your case requires it and you have agreed: for example a platform's security team, an insurer, or law enforcement. We tell you before that happens. We are also required to comply with a lawful order if one is served on us.

Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and embeds no third-party trackers or advertising. Your language choice is reflected in the URL rather than stored on your device. Our host records standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention.

Your rights over your data
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Write to the address below and we will confirm what we did. Where local law gives you a right to complain to a data protection authority, that right is unaffected.
